National Child Restraint Best Practice GuidelinesThe latest National Guidelines for the Safe Restraint of Children Travelling in Motor Vehicles developed under the auspices of Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) and Kidsafe with best practice recommendations approved by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) have been released!
NeuRA and Kidsafe want to see all children as safe as they can be when travelling in vehicles. The Guidelines ensures that parents receive straightforward, consistent advice from all sources on how to keep children safe in cars. Northern Territory Child Car Restraint LegislationAs of 1st February 2013 the Northern Territory Government announced new laws for children travelling in vehicles. The new laws require all children in the under seven years of age to be secured in an approved child restraint or booster seat when travelling in a vehicle. The new laws are based on the Australian Road Rules and are designed to ensure that children are better protected when travelling in cars and other vehicles.
