Welcome to Kidsafe NT

Kidsafe is a not-for-profit organisation that focusses on preventing unintentional injuries and deaths to children through education, research, advocacy and the promotion of environmental, legislative and behavioural changes. Kidsafe has been operating nationally for almost four decades and has been operating in the Territory since 2003.

We work closely with government agencies, local councils, parent and carer support groups, child protection, health and early childhood agencies, refugee centres and the corporate sector to spread the accident and injury prevention message.

Our Values
Kidsafe exists to inform the community how to protect children from preventable injury and death at home, at play and on the road.

Our core values focus on:
  • Collaboration
  • Empowerment
  • Excellence
  • Integrity
  • Leadership

Our Vision
Keeping NT kids safe
Our ultimate aspiration is that all NT kids are safe, healthy and live injury-free.

Our Purpose
We help to prevent unintentional injuries and deaths in NT kids

There are different areas of child health and safety. At Kidsafe NT, our remit is all about promoting child safety by preventing unintentional injuries and deaths in children. We refer to and partner with others when it comes to mental health, family and domestic violence, and intentional injuries.
